Try to avoid rocky or ground with sharp objects, including turning onto pavement kerbs, as these can penetrate the rubber track and damage the integrity of the steel cords. If it is not possible to avoid these ground conditions drive carefully with slow long turns with the excavator.
The track tension on your caterpillar mini digger should be checked EVERY 10 TO 20 working hours to ensure that unnecessary wear is not caused. The maximum slack in the track should be 15mm at the centre roller.
Ensure that any oil, petrol etc. are wiped off your mini excavator tracks immediately, as this can cause damage to your rubber track. Also ensure that the running path of the diggers’ rubber tracks is kept clear of mud, stones and debris which may cause damage to the tracks or undercarriage.
